The Cardiothoracic and Heart & Lung Transplant Intensive Care Unit at Rela Institute & Medical Center specializes in advanced care planning for cardiothoracic patients. We provide perioperative management for patients undergoing corrective cardiac surgeries, revascularization procedures, valvular procedures, and thoracic & vascular surgeries.

Our expertise extends to preoperative evaluation and stabilization of heart and lung failure patients awaiting organ transplantation, ensuring they are optimized until a suitable donor organ becomes available. We also provide comprehensive postoperative care for transplant recipients.

Our multidisciplinary ICU team includes cardiac surgeons, cardiac anesthesiologists and intensivists, cardiologists, pulmonologists, infectious disease specialists, highly skilled nursing staff, perfusionists, technicians, physician assistants, physiotherapists, nutritionists, and clinical pharmacists. Together, we ensure holistic and specialized care for our patients.

With in-depth expertise in heart and lung anatomy and advanced monitoring techniques, our team delivers high critical care standards.

We are proficient in managing mechanical circulatory support (MCS) devices, including:
