The Paediatric Daycare Surgery Unit is dedicated to the care of children needing short stay procedures. Some examples of surgeries done as day care are: circumcision, inguinal herniotomy, hydrocoele- sac ligation, tongue tie release, orchidopexy, excision of soft tissue swellings -dermoid, sebaceous cysts, abscess- incision & drainage, lymph node biopsy, rectal polypectomy, placement of implantable central venous access- Hickman lines/ Chemoport insertion etc.
