A Mother’s Prayer Answered!

Chandramathi, a 12-year-old child was suffering from a complex structural condition called Scoliosis caused by Neurofabromatosis, a congenital problem that worsens the spine’s curvature.

Chandramathi’s mother, a hardworking single mother was unaware of Chandramathi’s condition until recently when she went to a hospital in Ambur to get her daughter an X-Ray. The doctor suggested a surgery considering the complexity of the condition and the repercussions it could lead to. Not letting anxiety get the better of them, the mother and daughter duo met with Dr. Parthasarathy Srinivasan (Senior Consultant – Orthopaedics, Head – Spine Surgery) who recommended Rela Hospital for the complex surgery that would enhance Chandramathi’s quality of life and restore hope for the mother. To her surprise and respite, humanity came to their aid and crowd funded the surgery. After the completion of the surgery 3 months back, today, Chandramathi is looking at the horizon with a new lease of life and renewed vigour.
