Brief Profile
Dr. Dinesh Jothimani is a UK- and Australia-trained hepatologist with over 18 years of clinical experience in managing complex liver diseases and performing liver transplants. He is highly skilled in therapeutic endoscopies, including over 500 ERCPs, and has deep clinical expertise in Acute Liver Failure, Viral Hepatitis, Autoimmune Hepatitis, and advanced transplant hepatology.
A graduate of Madras Medical College under the Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University (2000), Dr. Dinesh earned his MRCP (UK) in 2004, followed by his CCT in Hepatology, Gastroenterology, and General Medicine from the West Midlands Deanery in the UK. He was conferred the prestigious FRCP (Glasgow) in 2018. His outstanding contributions to liver care earned him the Times Health Excellence Award for Service Excellence in Liver & Gastro Care in 2020.
Dr. Dinesh is actively engaged in the global hepatology community. He is a member of the Royal College of Physicians (London), Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons (Glasgow), General Medical Council (UK), and various leading societies such as the European Association for the Study of the Liver (EASL), American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases (AASLD), Liver Transplant Society of India (LTSI), and Indian Association for the Study of Liver (INASL). He also served as Honorary Secretary of the Indian Medical Association – Global Hospital Branch.
