Brief Profile

Dr. Asha A. is an accomplished neonatologist with over 15 years of experience and clinical expertise in family-centered neonatal intensive care, conventional and high-frequency ventilation (HFOV), non-invasive ventilation/CPAP, parenteral nutrition, and complex neonatal procedures.

She completed her DM Neonatology at the renowned Institute of Child Health, Madras Medical College – one of South Asia’s largest neonatal centres – after an MD Pediatrics from Pondicherry University and MBBS from Sri Ramachandra Medical University, Chennai.

Academically, she serves as Professor of Neonatology at Saveetha Medical College & Hospital, is a BPNI certified Lactation & IYCF Counsellor, and has held key roles including in-charge of the Human Milk Bank and member of NABH infection control and quality committees. She is also trained in point-of-care cranial ultrasound, neonatal echo, and medical education technology.

A dedicated clinician, teacher, and researcher, she combines strong leadership, team building, and commitment to holistic neonatal survival.
