Brief Profile
Dr Sonal Gajbhiye, is a dedicated and experienced Paediatric Intensivist with a strong focus on the care of critically ill patients. She has been an integral part of paediatric intensive care unit at Rela Institute and Medical Centre since 2019, with expertise in managing complicated cases including paediatric liver, kidney and Bone marrow transplant recipients and patients on ECMO.
She is nationally recognised for her contribution to Point of Care Ultrasound (POCUS) and serves as a faculty member for both basic and advanced POCUS workshops across India since 2022. She is particularly skilled in ultrasound guided difficult peripheral intravenous access, central venous and arterial access, transport of very critically ill patients (Local, Long distance transport- includes road, air transport), and non-invasive central nervous system monitoring in critically ill children.
Dr Sonal Gajbhiye is trained in Advanced Trauma Support (ATLS) and Paediatric Advance Life Support (PALS), and applies these skills to deliver high-quality, evidence-based critical care.
In addition to her clinical work, she plays an active role in Nursing Education and Training, contributing to the continuous development of the multidisciplinary team. She has been an invited speaker and national faculty for several paediatric critical acre conference, where she has shared her expertise through lectures and workshops.
Her approach combines advanced clinical skills with a commitment to compassionate, family- centred care, ensuring holistic support for the patients and their families- a quality consistently reflected in positive feedback from the patient families.
