Brief Profile

Dr. Muthukumaran is a highly experienced paediatric interventional cardiologist with 20+ years of clinical expertise in diagnosing and treating complex congenital and structural heart conditions. Trained in the UK, his areas of proficiency include echocardiography (2D, 3D, transesophageal, and fetal), electrophysiology, and a wide range of transcatheter interventions. He is also a recognised proctor for percutaneous valve implantations and is committed to delivering safe, minimally invasive cardiac care across all age groups.

  • Skilled in 2D and 3D Trans-thoracic Echocardiography (TTE)
  • Proficient in Trans-oesophageal Echocardiography (TEE) for both paediatric and adult patients
  • Experienced in Foetal Echocardiography, including interpretation from 18 weeks gestation and parental counselling

Electrophysiology

  • Reporting and interpretation of Exercise Testing and 24-hour ECG (Holter Monitoring)
