Minimally Invasive Cardiac Surgery (MICS)

MICS or Minimally Invasive Cardiac Surgery is performed through making several small incisions instead of traditional methods like open surgery. It is done if the patient is diagnosed with diseased or blocked vessels on the left side of heart without a history of CABG or Bypass.

The surgery is done through an incision measuring up to 5 to 7 cm in the intercoastal space with the help of certain specialized tools that would stabilize vessels.

It is widely recommended instead of CABG, Mitral Valve Repair or Replacement, Aortic Valve Replacement, Atrial Septal Defects.

Thoracic Endovascular Aortic Repair (TEVAR)

Thoracic Endovascular Aortic Repair or TEVAR is a minimally invasive procedure, that would repair the major blood vessel in the body, called aorta. To repair any dysfunction of aorta, the surgeon inserts stent graft through a minimal incision made in the groin region. The metal-mesh device repairs the aorta and keeps it open allowing good flow of oxygen-rich blood throughout the body. It is done if the patient is suffering either from stenosis, aneurysm, transection and dissection.
