Freezing & Vitrification

Freezing Oocyte & Sperm

Under this technique, the women’s mature eggs or oocytes will be preserved by using either a controlled-rate or slow-cooling method known as vitrification. Similarly, a man’s sperm cells can also be frozen and preserve them for using in future. In fact, both oocytes and sperm can be frozen for longer periods, without compromising on the quality and it is recommended for the single people or couples, who want to postpone pregnancy by few years.

Frozen Embryo Transfer (FET)

Frozen Embryo Transfer is a procedure under which a cryopreserved embryo gets thawed and transferred into a woman’s uterus as a part of IVF. It is usually recommended if there are extra healthy embryos available during the treatment and if the couple opts to go for another baby at a later stage. It is also done in the case of failure of previous IVF cycles.

Social Freezing

Social freezing is a method which allows a woman of healthy, reproductive age, to freeze eggs with an idea to postpone motherhood to a later stage of life, owing to personal reasons like education, career growth etc. The cryopreserved oocytes will be thawed and get transferred during an IVF procedure.
