Dr.S.Gayathri Devi is Clinical Director and Senior Consultant Department of Reproductive Medicine, Gynec Laparoscopy surgeon, Obstetrician and Gynaecologist and  Sonologist.

She has 18 years of overall experience with core values of Professional ethics and empathy. She has a professional niche in creating patient awareness regarding their problems, discussing available modalities of treatment choices and plays a vital role in shared decision making and formulating individual treatment plans. Her academic excellence is evident by being part of International and National Professional conferences.  She was awarded ‘Best Scientific paper’ in National Conference of Indian Association of Gynec Endoscopy in 2018. She established the department of OBG in Panimalar Hospital, a 330 bedded multi speciality medical college hospital in Chennai. She has handled many challenging high risk cases of deliveries,  complex gynec open and laparoscopic surgeries and infertility cases. She has been awarded Times health Service excellence award for Infertility, for the year 2024-2025.

Clinical Expertise

Dr.S.Gayathri Devi has vast experience in handling infertility patients, has collectively handled 5000+ cases of deliveries, gynec complex open and laparoscopic surgeries. She is an expert in handling complex cases of infertility , fertility sparing minimally invasive surgeries like myomectomy, ovarian cystectomy , adenomyomectomy, tubal recanalisation  and hysteroscopic procedures, apart from handling  all gynec cases. Her field of interest includes reproductive endocrinology, ovarian rejuvenation, minimally invasive gynec and fertility sparing surgeries. She has keen interest in integrating AI modules in Clinical healthcare, fecilitating work automation and reducing human errors, especially in embryology lab.

Experience

Post graduate training from a reputed Tertiary care hospital with intergrated high risk obstetrics, complex gynec open surgeries, advanced laparoscopic surgeries, gynec oncology, urogynecology and sonology for 3 years. Dr.S.Gayathri Devi started her career with Government service handling over 150 deliveries per month under single consultant care. She had served in clinical and admin role in Central government hospital for four years from 2012 to 2016. She moved on to pursue fellowship in Reproductive medicine in FOGSI ICOG , in 2016. She established the OBG department  in  330 bedded Panimalar Medical College hospital, Chennai and has the credit of operating first case of LSCS, gynec major surgery and  conducting  first normal delivery in Panimalar Hospital. She had served as Consultant in Prashanth Fertility, Ambattur for 2 years. She was also visiting consultant at Mehta Hospital, velappanchavadi, Bewell Hospitals and Gayathri Hospital.  She has collectively handled over 5000+ cases of deliveries, gynec complex surgeries and infertility patients. Her areas of interest include reproductive endocrinology and minimally invasive gynec surgeries.
