Dr. Nufina T. A is a Consultant Neuropathologist with comprehensive expertise in the diagnosis and understanding of diseases of the nervous system. She has received advanced training in the diagnostic evaluation of complex neurological and neurosurgical disorders, with a strong focus on precision neuropathology and translational neuroscience.
Her rigorous academic and professional journey across leading medical institutions has equipped her with a strong clinical and diagnostic foundation. Among the few in the country to have received advanced diagnostic training in epilepsy under the aegis of the International League Against Epilepsy (ILAE) in Europe, Dr. Nufina brings a global perspective to her work in neuropathology.
As the founding in-charge of a Neuropathology Laboratory, she has played a pivotal role in establishing and standardizing advanced histochemical and immunohistochemical techniques, training laboratory teams, and providing high-quality diagnostic support to clinicians and neurosurgeons across the country.
Her diagnostic expertise spans neuro-oncology, epilepsy-related neuropathology, and non-neoplastic neurological disorders, with a particular focus on gliomas, neurodegenerative diseases, demyelinating disorders, and peripheral nerve and muscle pathology.
Dr. Nufina has contributed to several national and international academic forums, presented award-winning research, and continues to integrate cutting-edge scientific insights into clinical neuropathology practice. Her vision is to foster multidisciplinary collaboration and deliver holistic, evidence-based neuroscience care.
