Dr. Mukul Vij

Brief Profile

Dr. Mukul Vij is the Director, Clinical Laboratories and Senior Consultant Pathologist at Dr. Rela Hospital. He has 12 years of experience in Pathology and has completed an MD in Pathology and a Post- Doctoral certificate course in renal and transplant pathology from SGPGIMS in Lucknow. He has published 95 articles in indexed international and Indian journals. He is a member of the International Society of Liver Transplant (ILTS), European Society of Pathology (ESP), Indian Society of Pathology and Microbiology (IAPM), Indian Society of Renal and Transplant Pathology (ISTRP) and Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry Chapter of IAPM – TNPCIAPM. He is also the executive committee member of TNPCIAPM.

• Poster Prize in international Liver Path CME held at GB PANT Hospital, New Delhi India for Paper, Indian Childhood cirrhosis, A clinicopathological study of five cases, 28th & 29th of January, 2012.
• He was selected for the Best paper award session for the 57th annual conference of IAPM (APCOM) from 16th to 18th December in 2008 for the following paper: Mukul Vij, Ashok Kumar, Rakesh Pandey. Prognostic factors in Gastrointestinal Stromal Tumour (GISTs). A clinicopathological and immunohistochemical study of 121 cases after primary resection. He presented a podium presentation in a plenary session.
