It gives me great pleasure in inviting you to Chennai, India for a three-day academic extravaganza in the field of liver transplantation from the 27th- 29th January, 2023.
The International Liver Transplantation Society (ILTS), International Living Donor Liver Transplantation Study Group (iLDLT) and The Liver Transplant Society of India (LTSI) will be jointly conducting the ILTS-iLDLT-LTSI 2023 Consensus Conference on Prediction and Management of Small for Size Syndrome in Living Donor Liver Transplantation (LDLT) on 27th January, 2023.
This is the largest such meeting on the topic, and involves three liver transplant societies and over 75 experts from across the world in the field of liver transplantation. The ILTS- Consensus Conference will focus on the newest research on Prediction and Management of Small for Size Syndrome in LDLT, including the incidence, definitions, clinical factors and biomarkers of SFSS, donor and recipient factors which increase the risk of SFSS and how to optimize these factors to reduce its incidence, perioperative considerations in the management of a patient with SFSG, and the management of established SFSS.The Consensus Conference proceedings will be used to generate Practice Guidelines manuscript for publication in Transplantation Journal.
The 13th Master Class in Liver Disease (MCLD) at Chennai, India on 28th- 29th January, 2023. The MCLD is one of the most popular scientific meetings in the field of liver disease and transplantation in the Indian Subcontinent; attended each year by over 900 National and International delegates. This meeting has traditionally been endorsed by several international societies.
Each year the theme is carefully chosen to promote exchange of knowledge in understanding and treating liver related disorders. This year, the conference theme is "Debates in Liver Transplantation". The first day is planned as multi-disciplinary sessions and will consists of a series of state-of-the-art lectures and debates on a wide range of subject in the current practice of liver transplantation.
On the second day there will be a workshop on robotic donor hepatectomy, wherein two robotic living donor operations will be demonstrated. For the Hepatologists, Anesthetists, Critical Care Clinicians and Pediatric Hepatologists there will be parallel break-out sessions and workshops. As always, the faculty for the meeting includes a galaxy of world-renowned experts from India and abroad.
Over the years, MCLD has become well known for its hospitality as for its scientific content. The ITC Grand Chola will once again be the venue of the 2023 meeting and we hope you will be able to join us there to discuss, debate and learn!
